SIX WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

1. DONATE TO CHARITABLE WATER ORGANISATIONS THAT ARE CHANGING THE FUTURE OF WATER FOR MILLIONS

Water.org is a global nonprofit organization working to bring water and sanitation to the world. They have already changed the lives of thirty million people globally with safe water or sanitation.

Allow your donation to be a powerful catalyst to one of the major barriers to safe water and sanitation - affordable financing.

5o1cThree designed the water box in response to the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. In 2014 the municipal water system was contaminated with lead and Flint’s residents were forced to rely on donations of bottled water for drinking, cooking and hygiene. Bringing in and distributing millions of bottles of water became a heavy burden for the city and community organizations.

By 2019 people had forgotten about Flint and donations of water began to dry up. The water box provides clean drinking water without the high cost, heavy logistics, and plastic waste of relying on single-use water bottles.

Flint isn’t the only US State in need of clean drinking water, donate to 5o1cThree and help expand their program to communities across the USA.

6. BRAVE BLUE WORLD LIGHTHOUSE AWARDS

This year Brave Blue World launches the Lighthouse Awards which are designed to award pioneers and visionaries within the water sector. Corporates who are reducing their impact in water stressed regions and including circularity in their practice and groups that have set moonshot targets, that they are committed to achieving. We are also awarding Utilities that are committing to fast tracking the efficiency and resilience of their water systems for the people they serve. These awards will enable the water industry to celebrate each others successes and to learn from the trials and tribulations encountered on the way.
